Getting Easier
Getting Easier is a short game about giving up the doom-scroll.
Made for the Mental Health Game Jam it revolves around a generally depressed character deciding to better their life. Noticing how dirty his room is, he decides to go out and get himself supplies and clean up the mess. But shocker, things cost money.

Working at a kiosk can be pretty repetitive and monotonous, but if we slow down and decide to have a bit of small talk with customers, we might even find a few friend to invite over when the house is clean.
Controls & Tutorial:
Most elements are either drag and drop or clickable, while the outside uses A and D for walking and SPACE for interacting.
The work mini-game works like a very very VERY lame version of wheres waldo, where customers request an item, and you have to find that item, drag it over the scanner, hand it over, and take their money.
Disclaimer:
Considering that this is a game-jam demo, it lacks a lot of the tutorial elements that a game would usually need, nor is it fully finished. It effectively functions as a proof of concept.
"AddItem" is a debug feature, not yet removed. It will be. This whole thing was kind of a rush job. Since, you know...
Also this description was written at 2AM so any grammatical errors are a result of that.

Love the ambition of this thing for a jam game! The atmosphere is really nice. I wanna talk to that one girl on the street in the back!
Thank you! I still feel like we were a bit overly ambitious.
During development we had a massive idea, which we then decided to tone down into scope, only to realise we’ve veered too far off the theme and we had to re-introduce mechanics we feared would not have the time to be implemented.
But.. it turned out fine in the end, we are currently internally discussing how to organise further development.
Really glad to hear that, looking forward to it!
